UGI is a distributor and marketer of energy products and services including propane, butane, natural gas and electricity. UGI has paid common dividends for 125 consecutive years and raised its dividend in each of the last 22 years. This monopoly utility area of Pennsylvania still delivers your electricity across poles and wires to homes and businesses but you now have a choice. Commercial and Industrial businesses in PA can pick from several competitive electricity companies that are much cheaper than the monopoly utility. Residential electricity customers only have one additional competitive electric supplier to pick from at this time. This list will become larger as deregulation catches on in PA. At this time there are no options for those wanting a guaranteed no deposit choice for their electricity in PA. Prepaid, pay as you go and no deposit electric companies will enter PA eventually but at this time you must try several electric companies until you get one that offers you a low deposit or none at all. All PA energy suppliers will want to check your credit.

In the Pike County Light and Power utility area you now have a choice for who you choose as your electricity supplier. If you are a residential energy consumer there is not a whole lot of choice right now but there is still some choice. By picking a competitive electricity supplier in PA you will automatically be saving a substantial amount off of what you are currently paying the monopoly electricity supplier in your area. Pike County Light and Power will still deliver your electricity over the poles and wires but a retail electricity company like Direct Energy will sell you your power. Texas has been deregulated since 2002 with great results. Now PA residents and commercial businesses can immediately save money on their energy by picking a competitive electric company from the list below. At this time there are no prepaid electricity companies or no deposit guaranteed electric suppliers in the Pike County Light and Power utility area. My best suggestion is to try several energy service companies if you would like to avoid a deposit but have bad credit.
