There are many residential and commercial business electricity suppliers competing in this region of PA to sell you a cheaper electric rate. You can save a substantial amount now simply by choosing a competitive electricity supplier other than the monopoly provider in your area. In some cases a deposit will be required. Met-ED Which Was Formerly GPU Energy is now a competitive utility area for electricity competition in Pennsylvania. You can immediately start saving a substantial amount on your electric rate by switching to a more competitive energy service company. There are several electric companies offering residential and commercial electric service in the Met-Ed utility area. In most cases if you have bad or no credit history you will be asked for a deposit. At this time there are no official no deposit electricity companies in the Met-Ed PA area. This will likely change but our best recommendation at this time is to try a few electric providers until you get a good one.

Commercial businesses as well as residential households can immediately start saving on their energy costs by choosing a competitive electric supplier.
